The Central Communication Port is a new partner of Lazarski University

On March 17, 2022, Lazarski University signed an agreement on joint activities with The Central Communication Port.

The parties declared their willingness to cooperate on scientific and educational projects. The areas of agreement include joint development of master’s and postgraduate study programs, supervision of diploma theses or internships and apprenticeships in the CPK company.

„For the CPK, which is currently holding the biggest infrastructural investment in Poland, the support of the scientific and research sector is absolutely crucial. Cooperation means benefits for both parties:Lazarski University gains a relationship with a prospective employer, and the CPK has access to an important research center and its professional staff” – said Mikołaj Wild, president of the CPK company.

Joint activities will cover the scope of both the airport and rail components. The tasks carried out within the framework of business and scientific cooperation will support the strategic investment, which is the construction of the Central Communication Port. Particular emphasis is to be placed on key areas for business in the future, including on digitization, computer-aided management, design and operation; management of the logistics and transport process; modeling passenger traffic or rail cargo – in particular virtual centers and carrier’s staff.

Lazarski University has competences and scientific resources in the field of Aviation Law and Air Traffic Administration. It remains the leading research center in Poland in these fields. I am convinced that the commencing scientific and research cooperation will develop dynamically and will bring many interesting joint implementations” – pointed out Maciej Rogalski, Rector of Lazarski University.

The Central Communication Port is a planned transfer junction between Warsaw and Łódź, which will integrate air, rail and road transport. As part of this project, the Solidarność Airport will be built 37 km west of Warsaw, on an area of ​​approximately 3,000 hectares, which in the first stage will be able to handle 45 million passengers per year. The STH will also include railway investments: a junction in the immediate vicinity of the airport and connections within the country, which will allow travel between Warsaw and largest Polish cities in no more than 2.5 hours. The investment should enable the creation of over 150 thousand. new jobs. Airport City will be built in the area of ​​the CPK, which will include, among others, trade fair and congress facilities, conference and office facilities.
