Air transport expert, aviation safety expert at the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency
Doctor of technical sciences – discipline of the State Committee for Scientific Research – transport, specializing in air transport. A graduate of master’s and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Transport of the Warsaw University of Technology. Author of many publications in the field of air traffic safety management. He has been working in the aviation industry for over 20 years. In the years 1993-1994 he was employed as an inspector at the General Inspectorate of Civil Aviation (GILC), then in the years 1994-2007 at the Air Traffic Agency at PPL, incl. as the head of the security analysis department, director of the security management office.
Since 2007, he has been working at the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, where he co-created, implemented and developed the Safety Management System (SMS). He completed numerous courses and training in the field of risk management systems and air traffic safety, among others Advanced Safety Management System course completed with honors, organized by the International Air Transport Association IATA, Functional Hazard Assessment, Preliminary System Safety Assessment, System Safety Assessment and Safety Assessment Methodology courses? Developing ATM Safety Case organized at EUROCONTROL Institute of Air Navigation Services – IANS in Luxembourg. Active member of groups of international aviation organizations, incl. global organization Civil Air Navigation Services Organization – CANSO Global Safety Standing Committee (SSC), CANSO European Safety Directors – CESAF, Eurocontrol – Safety Team and a member of the PPL Safety Committee. In the years 1998-1999 he worked in France as part of the international project of a highly advanced and modern air traffic control system – ROMBULPO at the Experimental Center of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation in Bretigny near Paris.
