He is a scientist and practitioner in the field of aviation psychology.

He graduated in psychology from ATK (now UKSW) in 1989. He obtained his doctorate at the Jagiellonian University (1998) and his habilitation at the University of Warsaw (2010). Currently, he works at the University of Warsaw, where he lectures, inter alia, research methodology, statistics, clinical diagnostics as well as work psychology and ergonomics. In the years 2016-2018 he was the Vice-Dean for Science. He is the head of postgraduate studies in Transport Psychology.

Member of the Psychology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (from 2020) and the Scientific Council of the Central Institute for Labor Protection (from 2019). He is also a member of the European Association for Aviation Psychology (certified as an aviation psychologist), European Association for Work and Organizational Psychology and the International Testing Commission (individual member).

Member of the Main Audit Committee of the Polish Psychological Association, the National Certification Committee of the European Psychologist Certificate and the PTP Certification Committee for aviation psychology.

In the years 1992-2016, at the Military Institute of Aviation Medicine, he was the head of the Department of Aviation Psychology, he conducted research in this area as well as training and certification studies. He also participated in the investigation of air accidents. He also conducted training for civilian aviation personnel in the field of human factors.

Systematically cooperates with Alta sp.z o.o., as a consultant on the construction of psychological tests. He developed a number of tests included in the Police Multiselekt-R recruitment system, in particular the personality stability scale and cognitive tests. He is the author of the concept of Test2Drive and Poldrive test systems as well as the Psychostymulator diagnostic and training system and the Sindbad research system. He also performs diagnostic tests of drivers in the psychological laboratory run by Alta.

Certified transport psychologist, has the III0 certificate for the use of psychological tests in business, and the right to psychological tests referred to in the Act on Weapons and Ammunition.

At the Motor Transport Institute (2016-2018), he managed a research grant on the impact of advertising on road safety, which ended with the implementation of the guidelines by GDDKiA.

He is the author or co-author of 95 articles, 36 books and chapters, and 108 conference speeches.
