About the studies

The Polish aviation market shows great growth potential, one of the largest in Europe. The constantly growing volume of air traffic generates the need to employ suitably qualified employees, also in the civil aviation administration.

During your studies as part of the Air Traffic Administration specialization, you will learn about the structure and organization of civil aviation, its financing and the rules of conducting aviation activities, as well as the legal regulations regarding air navigation, with particular emphasis on air traffic safety. You will also acquire practical skills, inter alia, in the field of passenger traffic planning and proper organization of communication in an airline facility.

The implementation of the specialization program in cooperation with the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency guarantees that education is conducted at the highest world level.

Advantages

Air Traffic Management

The specialization in Air Traffic Management is conducted by Lazarski University with the support of the National Centre for Research and Development as part of the project ‘Administering the airspace of the FUTURE – education through simulation and practice for the economy of the future’. The project is co-financed by the European Union within the scope of the European Social Fund Plus.

One of the aims of the project is to adapt the program of the Air Traffic Management specialization to the needs of dynamically growing air traffic. The structure of the teaching program takes into account the challenges facing the aviation industry, such as: “green” and “digital” transformation in aviation. Including the development of unmanned aviation and so-called ‘aerial urban mobility’.

Students and alumni feedback

I have always been interested in aviation, and my dream has always been to become a pilot. Unfortunately, for various reasons, I was unable to fulfill it, but my fascination with this subject remained. For this reason, I decided to study “Air Traffic Administration”. Specialization subjects provide a wide range of knowledge about aviation and are conducted in a variety of forms, which makes them more interesting. In addition, there are also meetings and talks with representatives of institutions related to aviation, where you can learn a lot of practical information, and this is what makes the studies interesting and gives many opportunities for development.

Having been involved in the aviation industry since secondary school, I was looking for a course of study that would allow me to develop my skills and deepen my knowledge of aviation law. Choosing the Air Traffic Management course proved to be a hit, as it enabled me to explore topics that I had previously only known superficially. Thanks to this course, I have gained a detailed understanding of the issues, which has significantly broadened my competence in the field of aviation regulation.

These studies have enabled me to gain an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms of aviation administration and the operation of air navigation services. I have systematised my knowledge and gained a better understanding of complex issues related to aviation law and the operation of aviation administration bodies, both in Poland and Europe.

Classes conducted by experts, employees of various branches of the aviation industry, and invited guests showed me the complexity of this field and the possibilities of its development.

I use the knowledge and skills acquired during my studies every day in my work at the airport.

In addition, through my studies, I had the opportunity to participate in the 15th Leiden-Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition. Participating in this prestigious event was an extremely valuable experience for me, which allowed me to put the knowledge I gained into practice and to network with experts from the industry.
